Kareena Kapoor is undoubtedly one of the best actresses and dancers in the country. She has had a long drawn career. • Fevicol Se

Kareena has performed in several songs along the decade. Fevicol Se from Dabangg  made her popular in the glamour song niche. This was in Dabangg 2, the movie that needed another great song in its kitty after the Malaika Arora song Zandu Balm.  And Kareena Kapoor did a great job of creating a raunchy, funny song along with Salman Khan.

• Dil Mera Muft Ka

Somewhere along the line, Kareena Kapoor danced to a song with her to-be husband Saif Ali Khan. The song was picturised as a bunch of pretty woman dancing in the villain’s lair. Kareena Kapoor gives a step by step challenge to another dancer in the song, one of the finest we have ever seen.

• Raat ka Nasha

Raat Ka Nasha was one of the first songs that the audience got its introduction to Kareena Kapoor, the fresh new face from the Kapoor family. This was a period piece, Asoka, and Shah Rukh Khan played the titular character.  While the movie didn’t work too well at the box office, Kareena Kapoor had certainly arrived with this movie and with this song.

• Challiya 

Chaliya is from Tashan, another underrated movie from the YRF stables. In this movie, Kareena Kapoor played one of her ‘grown up’ characters. She was no longer the young, bubby person who was falling in love for the first time. This song was actually one of the first promotional materials for the movie. There was buzz  that Kareena had posed in a bikini for this song.

• Halkat Jawani

The movie that was mired by controversy even before it began. Earlier, Aishwarya Rai was to play this role, but it went to Kareena Kapoor, and Kapoor aced it.  The song is once again one with context and the dynamics of the song will make sense only when you watch the movie and understand the storyline. But whether you do that or not, sink in a moment into the beauty and verve that’s Kareena Kapoor dancing and singing her heart out in a Bollywood movie about strong female characters.
