Prakash Jha starrer Matto Ki Saikal is going to premiere at 25th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. Learn more details here.

The 25th Busan International Film festival will be starting in South Korea in October this year. This year several Indian films selected and screened at the Busan Film festival. One among those is Matto Ki Saikal. Directed by debutant filmmaker M Gani, featuring Prakash Jha, Matto Ki Saikal acknowledged screening in the ‘A Window on Asian Cinema’ section of the festival. Produced by debutant producer Sudhirbhai Mishra, the movie also stars Anita Choudhary and Aarohi Sharma.

This film is a story of hope. Matto Ki Saikil revolves around a family who faces struggles to buy a new bicycle. Because their lives depend on it. Filmmaker M Ghani extended his heartfelt thanks to the Busan’s selection committee and to actor Prakash Jha for believing in the story. He said, “I’m humbled that an original voice from a rural heartland India noticed at an International coveted platform which will pave the way for people who believe that cinema can be a medium to showcase the life of the downtrodden and have the passion to tell meaningful stories.”

Actor Prakash Jha said, “I’m surprised when they approached me for playing Matto! It is a beautiful story, almost heartbreaking. But Matto is completely opposite to what I am in real life”. Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh also shared the news with fans on Twitter.

The 2020 Busan Film festival will start from October 21 to 30. Also, 194 movies selected for this festival.
