Poonam Pandey had grabbed the headlines again. News portals were fed reports about her case against her husband, Sam Bombay, for domestic violence. A few days later, the couple were together again. But Poonam’s tryst with the law hasn’t ended. A Woman’s Wing of a political party, the Goa Forward Party  has filed a case against an unknown person for shooting an obscene video featuring Poonam Pandey.

The police case is at the Canacona Police Station. It’s surprising that Poonam shot a movie on a public location. India is not new to sensual videos shot, but time and again, when its shot at a public location, it’s always a problem.

A few years ago, two models who shot for a sensual video in Mumbai faced problems. Recently, Milind Soman streaked on a beach, and the buzz says that he might face legal action.

Poonam Pandey is one of the few celebrities that are okay with showing off their sensuality. She shot to fame when she promised to strip if India won the World Cup.  Since then, she has simmered down, and has appeared in some movies, she made her debut with Nasha in 2013. Poonam hasn’t been part of many movies after that.

Poonam Pandey was recently in the news because of her tiff with her husband of a few days. She married Sam Bombay in a private ceremony. A few days later, she was in the police station, alleging her husband of domestic violence.  That incident garnered some buzz on social media as well, but all of it petered down within a day or two.

However, that matter resolved within a few days and the two posted photographs on Instagram, showing off their love and the proving that they were together again.  The trend of non mainstream actors looking to gain prominence with their sensuous shoots is disturbing, because that’s what gives fodder for censorship fans. It’s impossible to determine what made Poonam shoot an obscene video on a public beach, when every other celebrity does that by booking a studio and working with a very closed crew that knows how to handle these things. Pandey has a way of garnering attention. Earlier, she launched an app that allowed fans to view her videos and photographs. Google banned the app, and it’s now available only via her website. There’s no reason given by Google has taken down the app.
